Business boomed in the port of Mobile last year as other ports choked. The volume of traffic through the Port of Mobile’s container terminal hit a new record in 2021, the Alabama State Port Authority announced in January, and container volume jumped nearly 19% in 2021. Learn more about this fascinating flow of a port and how the puzzles come together by joining this bus tour to inside the port of Mobile.
We will offer two places for bus pickup (after the registration).
The first stop is the new AutoMOBILE International Terminal (AIT) that operates the RO/RO (Roll-on/Roll-off) terminal under an agreement with the Alabama State Port Authority. This brand new terminal was completed in 2021, and the new 57-acre terminal is the closest RO/RO port terminal to the Alabama assembly plants. We will get of the bus to meet with Leonardo Montenegro, Chief Operating Officer for AIT. AIT will host coffee and refreshments, and a walking tour of the terminal. Please note this will be the only stop where we get off.
The bus tour will then continue to:

- Intermodal Facility
- Logistics Park
- Container Intermodal Assets

Anna Bronsky is a violin teacher at a music-focused high school. Despite the opposition of all the other teachers, Anna drives through the admission of a student, Alexander, in whom she detects a remarkable talent. Committed, she prepares him for the intermediate exam and neglects her family – her son Jonas, whom she brings into competition with her new student, and her husband Philippe. Her colleague Christian, with whom she has an affair, persuades her to join a quintet. When she fails during their joint concert, the pressure mounts and she focuses all her attention on her student Alexander. Come the day of the exam, events take a tragic turn.
