Born and raised in Montgomery, Thomas Tyson graduated from the University of Alabama in 2011 before starting his career in economic development for the City of Opelika. Tyson’s career continued as he worked for the Mobile Area Chamber of Commerce and as a Senior Project Manager for the Alabama Department of Commerce, the state’s leading economic development organization. Today, Tyson is PowerSouth Energy’s Economic Development Representative for their Alabama territory, which covers nearly half the state.
