Kristallnacht Memorial Lecture @ UAB National Alumni Society House
Nov 4 @ 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm

An evening hosted by the UAB Department of History and  the Alabama Holocaust Education Center.

On Tuesday, November 4, 2025, from 6:00–7:30 PM (doors open at 5:30 PM) at the UAB National Alumni Society House, renowned Holocaust historians Wendy Lower and Jonathan Petropoulos will present “Himmler’s Last Days and the Fate of Nazi Leadership.” This Kristallnacht Commemorative Lecture will reveal how genocidal systems collapse and what becomes of the people who lead them. These two world-class scholars bring new insight into the psychology and downfall of one of history’s most infamous figures, Heinrich Himmler.

This is a rare opportunity to hear two of the foremost Holocaust historians together in Birmingham.
