Hallo, Freunde! We are excited to host the first Tuscaloosa area Stammtisch in over a year! Please come meet us at Hotel Capstone Wednesday, June 30th. If you are one of our German friends, our American friends who simply want to learn more about the German language and culture – or just wanted to have a drink and enjoy time with friends. We would like to cordially invite you to join us at Hotel Capstone from 5:30 – 7:30 PM poolside (weather permitting). Your first drink is free – kostenlos – if you ask me for it in German, so practice ahead of time. Snacks are complimentary. This is a great opportunity for German expats to meet and for other German-speaking/practicing to improve their German. Speaking German is encouraged but not required. We meet every first Wednesday of the month.
Carrigan’s Beer Garden has a great selection of beverages and food for purchase. Family, kids, and dogs are allowed.
What does “Stammtisch” mean? A Stammtisch is an informal group meeting held on a regular basis, and also the usually large table around which the group meets. A Stammtisch is not a structured meeting, but rather a friendly and casual get-together.
Please make sure to register so we can reserve seats for all.
