New Travel Restrictions – A Discussion with US Consular Staff @ ZOOM Webinar

New Travel Restrictions – A Discussion with US Consular Staff

Newly revised travel restrictions to the United States, announced by the U.S. Department of State on March 2nd, 2021, may impact travelers from the Schengen Zone planning to conduct certain business operations in the U.S.  The new regulations, aimed at limiting the spread of COVID-19, reduce the scope of qualification for a National Interest Exception (NIE) under Presidential Proclamation (PP) 10143 as related to the Schengen Area, United Kingdom, and Ireland.

To help explain these heightened restrictions, the German American Chambers of Commerce (AHK USA), together with the U.S. Embassy in Berlin, the Association of German Chambers of Industry and Commerce (DIHK), and AmCham Germany, have organized a virtual informational seminar with U.S. Consular Staff from Berlin, Frankfurt and Munich.

Come join us for our FIRST AGP “Stammtisch” of the year:

Wednesday, June 2, 2021

The last year has been challenging for everyone, and we know you have missed our in-person events. Please adhere to proper social distancing guidelines when attending.

This is a great opportunity for German expats to meet and for other German-speaking/practicing to improve their German. Speaking German is encouraged but not required. We meet every first Wednesday of the month.

Carrigan’s Beer Garden has a great selection of beverages and food for purchase. Family, kids, and dogs are allowed.

What does “Stammtisch” mean? A Stammtisch is an informal group meeting held on a regular basis, and also the usually large table around which the group meets. A Stammtisch is not a structured meeting, but rather a friendly and casual get-together.

Please make sure to register so we can reserve seats for all.
