The Dread River Distillery tours are an intimate and educational experience. We will be joined by David Weiner, Consul and Senior Trade Commissioner, The Consulate General of Canada in Atlanta and Detlef Engler, Senior Investment Officer, The Embassy of Canada in Berlin, Germany. They will discuss the Canada-EU free trade agreement and how German and American companies can use it to grow trade between the countries. The Congressional consideration of the USMCA agreement and Section 232 tariffs on autos and auto parts will also be covered.

What does “Stammtisch” mean? A Stammtisch is an informal group meeting held on a regular basis, and also the usually large table around which the group meets. A Stammtisch is not a structured meeting, but rather a friendly and casual get-together.
This is a great opportunity for German expats to meet and for other German speaking/practicing to improve your German. Speaking German is encouraged but not required.

The objective of this program is to introduce American and German business executives to the fundamental cultural issues that arise when dealing with each other at both a professional and personal level. Learn what makes Germans so German and Americans so American.
The workshop will further include a guide how to address each other appropriately, and on the dos and don’ts of interpersonal communication.
Participants will be given the opportunity to discuss in an open forum, any previous experiences in interacting with opposite cultural partner, providing an invaluable opportunity to learn not only from the experts, but also from one-another.
