Join us and Birmingham Legion FC as they take on Memphis 901 FC on Saturday, August 17 in Birmingham. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. at BBVA Field and game kicksoff at 7:00 p.m. German player Marcel Appiah will be missing this game but Head Coach Tom Soehn might show of his German language skills.

Join us for a tour of Birmingham’s only distillery and plenty of networking opportunities after the tour.
The Dread River Distillery tours are an intimate and educational experience. This tour includes a 30-45 minute tour of their distillery where you get to learn about the process and finishes with a tasting of their spirits. The fee of $10 will cover the tour and tasting. We will be joined by David Weiner, Consul and Senior Trade Commissioner, The Consulate General of Canada in Atlanta and Detlef Engler, Senior Investment Officer, The Embassy of Canada in Berlin, Germany. They will discuss the Canada-EU free trade agreement and how German and American companies can use it to grow trade between the countries. The Congressional consideration of the USMCA agreement and Section 232 tariffs on autos and auto parts will also be covered.

Come join us for AGP “Stammtisch” every first Tuesday of the month. This month of October we will already start at 5 p.m. to attend Brät Brot’s Oktoberfest kickoff by Tapping of the Keg with Tom Soehn, Head Coach of Birmingham Legion (professional soccer). Lederhosen and Dirndl is optional.
What does “Stammtisch” mean? A Stammtisch is an informal group meeting held on a regular basis, and also the usually large table around which the group meets. A Stammtisch is not a structured meeting, but rather a friendly and casual get-together.
This is a great opportunity for German expats to meet and for other German speaking/practicing to improve your German. Speaking German is encouraged but not required.
Bröt Brot has a great selection of beverage and food for purchase. Please note the venue has 21+ age requirement.
