Airbus production and engineering teams in Mobile are teaming up with the University of South Alabama to produce personal protective equipment for medical groups in the Mobile area.
A team with the aircraft manufacturing giant is making masks and bands for medical personnel at USA Health including University Hospital, Children & Women’s Hospital, Mitchell Cancer Institute, and the Physician’s Group. Approximately 500 masks, which are reusable and washable, will be produced over the next three weeks along with 75 tension release bands per day.
